The Artist Behind the Work

Lucia Kasardova, artist behind Lucia Waterart

Meet the Artist

I was born in a small village by the lake, where I grew up immersed in nature's gentle beauty. The intricate details of plants, the charm of tiny creatures, and the animals on our family farm filled my childhood with wonder and curiosity.

From an early age, I found joy in the magic of small, often overlooked things. This passion inspired me to pursue jewellery design and craftsmanship, where I developed my eye for precision and creativity.

My artistic journey evolved through private fine art classes and architectural studies, eventually leading me across the sea to the UK. There, I spent years in high-end fashion and visual merchandising, guided by an artist's sensibility and meticulous attention to detail.

Becoming a mother breathed new purpose into my art, compelling me to specialise in watercolour pet portraits. Through each piece, I strive to capture and immortalise the unique spirit and personality of beloved animals.

My Journey

From Pencils to Paint

Early sketchbooks, careful observation, and a love of intricate detail shaped the patience behind Lucia's hand painted pet portraits.

Creativity in Many Forms

Jewellery, architecture, fine art, fashion, and visual merchandising all refined her sense of proportion, texture, and composition.

Art for a Cause

Work with galleries and wildlife conservation projects deepened a belief that art can preserve what matters and raise attention with care.

Motherhood and Pets

Motherhood renewed Lucia's focus, drawing her toward intimate, heartfelt watercolour portraits for families and their animals.
